The Oklahoma City Thunder announced that they had released Josh Hall. This opens up a two-way spot as the other one is occupied by Aaron Wiggins. And, according to Basketball News’ Kelsea O’Brien, the vacant spot will be filled by Paul Watson Jr.

Since 2019, Watson Jr. has played in 37 career NBA games spanning over two seasons. The 26-year-old averaged 4.1 points and 1.7 rebounds in 27 games last season with the Toronto Raptors.
This included scoring 30 points on eight made threes against the Orlando Magic in April.
According to FanSided’s Rylan Stiles, the Thunder will hopefully bring back Hall on a training camp invite to add him to the Oklahoma City Blue eventually.
But that might be tricky as other NBA teams have reportedly shown interest in the 20-year-old.

Hall signed a two-way deal with the Thunder on Aug. 19. In 21 games last season, the rookie averaged 4.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists a game. Hall’s best game came against the LA Clippers in the regular-season finale, where he scored a career-high 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
