Russell Westbrook recorded another triple-double and Paul George recorded 36 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals, and a block in a huge Thunder Northwest Divisional win. Oklahoma City now has sole possession of third place in the western conference standings.

Oklahoma City led for the majority the game, fending off several Portland scoring runs throughout. The final scoring run of the night would belong to the Thunder, who would win 123-114 over the Trail Blazers.

A Jusuf Nurkic jumper cut the OKC lead to 113-108 with just under four minutes to play. Paul George would then go on a personal 6-0 run and Russell Westbrook would cap the night off with two ferocious dunks, including the one below.

After a stalemate to start the game at 25-all, OKC outscored Portland by seven points in the second frame and wouldn’t look back. The Trail Blazers would draw within one point on a CJ McCollum three to cut the Thunder lead to 79-78 in the third quarter, but would never get closer than that.

Paul George’s 36 points led the Thunder and he was a team high +16. All five starters and Dennis Schroder scored in double digits, including Westbrook’s 29 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds.

The Thunder are three games behind second place Denver and four games behind first place Golden State.

Oklahoma City faces the toughest remaining schedule in the NBA, so this was a big win for the Thunder. Tonight’s win was the first game of a three game home stand.
