Thunder suffers 147-109, blowout loss to Warriors

The Oklahoma City Thunder suffered a 147-109 blowout loss to the Golden State Warriors Wednesday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

The Thunder (20-35) jumped out to a hot start, scoring 32 points in the first quarter, however, the Warriors (27-28) stayed in cruise control for 48 minutes, led by 42 points from All-Star Steph Curry in what turned into a rout by halftime.

Curry drilled 11 three-pointers while dishing out eight assists and grabbing six rebounds. Golden State shot over 54% and went 24-for-47 from deep. All-Star forward Draymond Green was a force as well, finishing with a triple-double of 12 points, 16 assists and 10 rebounds.

Oklahoma City struggled to keep up with the fast-paced Warriors.

The Thunder shot just 7-for-27 from three-point range and turned the ball over 21 times. OKC also scored only eight points in transition and assisted on just 22 of 44 made baskets.

Six Thunder players scored in double figures, including Darius Bazley with 22 points. Moses Brown scored 18 points and grabbed 12 boards while Svi Mykhailiuk scored 14 with three assists. Tony Bradley scored 13 and Ty Jerome chipped in 10, both off the bench.

The loss marked the eighth straight for Oklahoma City as the team battles through the remainder of the season. Only four teams have less wins, including the Rockets (14), Timberwolves (14), Pistons (16) and Magic (18).

The Thunder hits the road for a four-game road trip, starting Friday against Detroit. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. C.T.
