The Oklahoma City Thunder announced Friday that they had signed Vit Krejci to a multi-year deal.
Krejci was selected 37th overall in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards before being traded to the Thunder on draft night.
The Czech Republic native played several seasons overseas before moving to the United States to rehab from a torn ACL he suffered in September 2020.
The 21-year-old signed with the Thunder’s G League affiliate — the Oklahoma City Blue — in January 2021 but has yet to play a game for them and did not make the trip to Summer League last month.
With this signing, the roster currently stands at 16 players.
Krejci will most likely take either Gabriel Deck or Charlie Brown Jr.’s roster spot as they are on non-guaranteed deals.
Due to the expected limited playing time on the Thunder, Krejci will most likely spend most of next season in the G League, where he will have more freedom and room for error as he returns from a major knee injury.
