Thunder sign Josh Hall to two-way deal

The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed Josh Hall into a two-way contract.

This means that the two two-way spots on the roster now belong to Hall and Aaron Wiggins.

With this signing, the Thunder now only have one roster spot left, and it will most likely come down to Vit Krejci, Gabriel Deck, Jaylen Hoard, or Charlie Brown Jr.

Hall went undrafted in 2020 and signed a two-way deal with the Thunder last season, where he spent time in both the NBA and G League Bubble.

In 21 NBA games, Hall averaged 4.1 points and 2.8 rebounds on 64 TS+. The 20-year-old’s best pro game came in the regular-season finale against the LA Clippers, where he finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds.

Hall played in all five Summer League games this past week, where he averaged 6.6 points and 4.6 rebounds. His best game came in the finale against the San Antonio Spurs, where he finished with 17 points and seven rebounds.

The Thunder seems to really like Hall and his potential; he has shown flashes of athletic brilliance with some of his finishes on his drives but has struggled with his shooting limitations.

At just 20 years old, the team must think of enough potential clay to mold to give him another look this upcoming season. If nothing materializes, then cutting bait should be rather easy to do.
