The Oklahoma City Thunder’s 2021-22 schedule dropped Friday afternoon.
This season will consist of a normal 82-game season after last season was shortened to 72 games due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Here are some quick notes on the schedule release:
- The Thunder opens the season on the road against the Utah Jazz on Oct. 20.
- The Thunder’s home opener will be against the Philadelphia 76ers on Oct. 24.
- The Thunder’s final home game will be against the Portland Trail Blazers on April 5.
- The Thunder finish the season on the road against the LA Clippers on April 10.
- Russell Westbrook and the Los Angeles Lakers visit the Paycom Center on Oct. 27.
- Kevin Durant, James Harden, and the Brooklyn Nets visit the Paycom Center on Nov. 14.
- Steven Adams and the Memphis Grizzlies visit the Paycom Center on March 23.
- Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns visit the Paycom Center on Feb. 24.
- OKC will play the New Year’s Eve game against the New York Knicks.
- Former Oklahoma State Cowboy Cade Cunningham will make his return to the state on April 1.
- This season, OKC’s longest road trip consists of four games in a six-day span from Jan. 17 to Jan. 22.
- The Thunder have no nationally televised games this season.
