The NBA Draft is here! Here are the results for the Oklahoma City Thunder and who will become the newest additions to the organization:

With the sixth pick, the Thunder selected Josh Giddey.

Giddey is described as the best playmaker in this class but has major weaknesses and things to work on in other areas of his game. Giddey will be Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s backcourt partner for the next 5+ years.

“They were just great people,” said Giddey in his Zoom presser. “I was talking to Sam (Presti) and the rest of the staff, the way they talk and want to lift their program, it’s just something I wanted to be a part of… Moving forward, hopefully, in the next couple of years, we have success.”

With the 18th pick, the Thunder selected Tre Mann

Mann is described as a 3&D guard. He shot 40% from three at Florida. Mann is also a solid playmaker. Even with that said, he is seen as a developmental project that will take several years to reach his ceiling as a serviceable NBA player.

With the 32nd pick, the Thunder selected Jeremiah Robinson-Earl

The Thunder packaged their 34th and 36th pick in a trade with the New York Knicks to select the Villanova forward.

The 2021 Big East co-player of the Year winner was projected to go in the second round. The young forward averaged 15.7 points and 8.5 rebounds in 25 games last season.

With the 55th pick, the Thunder selected Aaron Wiggins

With the final pick of the draft, the Thunder select the Maryland guard. He is seen as a potential 3&D project. He’ll most likely start the season with the OKC Blue.
