The Oklahoma City Thunder have had quite a busy Sunday.

The team made a trio of moves that first began with the release of Austin Rivers.

Here are other things the Thunder were up to on Sunday:

Thunder sign Brown

The Thunder have announced that they have signed Moses Brown to a multi-year contract. This means that Brown is no longer considered a two-way player and is now a full-time NBA player.

This news comes hours after the Thunder officially waived Austin Rivers, creating a roster spot that many speculated would go to Brown after his recent 21-23 game against the Boston Celtics.

But the Thunder are not signing Brown based on one game. Brown has a 23.6% rebound, which would lead the entire NBA if eligible.

Since returning from the G League Bubble, Brown is averaging 12.4 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks a game.

This now marks the third straight season that the team has converted a two-way’s player contract into a multiyear extension:

Deonte Burton: 2019

Lu Dort: 2020

Moses Brown: 2021

Teams are allowed to carry two two-way players on their roster, and with Brown’s spot vacated, that makes Josh Hall the only two-way player on the Thunder bench.

With the team now prioritizing the youth movement, do not be surprised if the team adds on someone from the OKC Blue roster to fill up the second two-way roster spot on their bench.

Dort in concussion protocol

The Thunder also announced that Dort was placed in concussion protocol Sunday after sustaining a concussion when he fell on Jaylon Brown’s knee in Saturday’s game.

This means that the Thunder will be without all five of their Opening Day starters for the foreseeable future:

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (plantar fasciitis), George Hill (traded), Dort (concussion), Darius Bazley (shoulder), and Al Horford (rest).
