NBA players allowed to eat at 5 league-approved restaurants when in Oklahoma City

NBA issued a shortlist of restaurants that players are allowed to dine at while playing in OKC

COVID-19 has changed the sports world.

Pre-COVID, NBA players could eat wherever, whenever.

Well, according to ESPN, that has changed. By working alongside the NBA Players Association and teams, the league developed an assortment of places players could eat, as part of the NBA and NBPA’s joint health and safety protocol.

And with the new NBA season underway, and teams traveling amid a pandemic, the league issued a shortlist of restaurants players can dine-in at while playing on the road.

In Oklahoma City, when teams arrive to play the Thunder, players can eat at the five following restaurants:

All the restaurants on the league’s restaurant list have “agreed to conform to specific rules and regulations,” ESPN reported.

According to ESPN, each restaurant must have an outdoor space or private room that doesn’t share air space with the rest of the facility, have secure entrances and exits for players, and servers must wear face masks.
